Moving to Panama with your family.Find a home that fits your new life.

School, neighborhood and budget are decided together

Before buying a home in Panama, it helps to look beyond the condo: the school, your routine and the monthly costs. At FE Realtor we weigh these decisions with you.

In your first consultation we go over these four points for your family.

  • The school

Check openings, the school calendar and location before deciding which neighborhood to buy in.

  • Your week

Compare commutes to school, work and the services you will use every day.

  • The monthly cost

Beyond the purchase price, factor in HOA fees, school, transportation and other expenses.

  • The paperwork

Buying a home and getting residency are separate processes. Check the requirements and timelines for each.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy property in Panama as a foreigner?

Yes. Foreigners have the same property rights as Panamanians. The purchase goes through a Panamanian attorney, who checks the title in the Public Registry before you pay.

Can I buy without traveling to Panama?

Yes. With a notarized power of attorney, your attorney or someone you trust can sign and handle the paperwork on your behalf. Work with an attorney in Panama and get a title search before you pay.

Does buying property give me residency?

Buying alone does not. Panama has residency options tied to real estate investment, with minimum amounts that depend on the visa and on your nationality. Each case is reviewed with an immigration attorney.

What costs are there beyond the price?

Your attorney's fees, notary fees and registration with the Public Registry. After the purchase, the building's HOA fees. Before you decide, you get the breakdown for the property you are interested in.

What is the starting price?

Each project page shows its starting price. In the consultation we look at which neighborhoods and sizes fit your budget.

Let's talk before you make any decision

If you are outside Panama, let's set up a video call and go over your case. If you are already here, we meet in person. The consultation is free.
